One Step Away chronicles the extraordinary journey of SCAD alumna Sabrina Spanta and her collaboration with SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace to help coordinate her sisters’ escape from the Taliban in Afghanistan. Through Sabrina’s story, the film reveals the transformative power of art and the enduring hope for a future where women are safe from persecution.

My Role
I designed and animated the film’s title sequence and end credits, as well as a series of graphic montages and stylized photographic treatments used throughout the film. I collaborated closely with editor Danielle Navish to develop the intro sequence, combining her video montages with my animated graphics to create a cohesive opening that set the tone for the film. Throughout the project, we worked together to support narrative moments with motion graphics and ensure the visual language remained emotionally aligned with the story.
